Facilities & Amenities

Bay Shore Yacht Club, established in 1984, is nestled in the idyllic town of Meredith, situated along the scenic shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. The club is known for its location and the high-quality amenities it offers its members. Comprising 75 member-owned slips, the club provides ample docking space for boats, allowing for convenient access to the beautiful lake and its many recreational opportunities.

Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, spans approximately 72 square miles and features over 250 islands. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings, the lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, and other recreational activities.

Clubhouse

The club features a spacious clubhouse that serves as a central hub for members. Inside, the clubhouse is well-equipped with a full kitchen, making it an excellent space for gatherings and social events. Additionally, it boasts four full bathrooms, ensuring comfort and convenience for all who visit.

Outdoor Leisure Area

The outdoor leisure area is another great feature of the Bay Shore Yacht Club. Designed for relaxation and enjoyment, the area includes outdoor seating, lounge chairs, and picnic tables, creating a welcoming environment for members and their guests. The inclusion of grills adds to the enjoyable atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for al fresco dining and socializing.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS URGENT UPDATE

Our insurance carrier now requires all members and renters occupying a slip at BSYC to adhere with updated requirements, effective immediately.

Insurance coverage must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • $500,000 combined single limit watercraft liability coverage naming BSYC as Additional Insured
  • An Umbrella policy with the above-mentioned limits is also acceptable.
  • All dock users shall hold BSYC harmless from all loss and damage occasioned from any claim or damage resulting from user’s neglect, or by any nuisance made or suffered on the Premises, unless such loss is caused by the neglect of the BSYC.  User will indemnify and save BSYC harmless from all injury, loss, claims and damages (including attorney’s fees) arising from, related to, or in connection with the use of the Premises.
  • A certificate of insurance showing proof of liability coverage must be sent to the BSYC Secretary before the boat is launched and placed in a slip at BSYC. This applies to slip renters as well. Send insurance to: secretarybsyc@gmail.com

Bay Shore Yacht Club Governance

The governance of Bay Shore Yacht Club is overseen by a dedicated team of up to five volunteer board members. These individuals are elected by the membership and bring diverse expertise and a shared passion for boating to their roles. The board is responsible for setting club policies, managing finances, and ensuring the maintenance of facilities and services. They work collaboratively to uphold the club’s mission and values, fostering a welcoming and vibrant community for all members. Regular board meetings are held to discuss strategic planning, address member concerns, and organize events, ensuring the smooth operation and continued success of the club.
