Procedures for Renting a Boat Slip from a BSYC Member
Initial Contact and Fee Agreement
The prospective renter must contact the BSYC member (slip owner) directly. All terms related to the seasonal rental fee are determined exclusively by mutual agreement between the member and the renter.
- Lease Agreement Completion
- The Lease Agreement is available on the main page via the white navigation bar.
- Select “Lease Agreement.”
- The agreement may be completed and submitted electronically or printed, completed in its entirety, and submitted via email.
- Combined Length Overall Agreement (CLOA)
- The Combined Length Overall Agreement is accessible on the main page via the white navigation bar.
- Select “Combined Length Form.”
- This form may be completed and submitted online or printed, fully completed, and submitted via email.
- Insurance Verification & Documentation
- The renter is responsible for ensuring that all insurance coverage meets BSYC’s minimum requirements.
- Insurance requirements are available on the main page via the white navigation bar under “Insurance Requirements.”
- Submission of Documentation
- All completed documents must be submitted via email to secretarybsyc@gmail.com, with the slip owner copied, or
- The slip owner may submit the completed documentation directly to the same email address.
The three documents required for submission are:
- Lease Agreement
- Combined Length Overall Agreement (CLOA)
- Valid insurance coverage
Important Conditions
- No vessel may be docked in the rental slip until the Lease Agreement and Combined Length Overall Agreement have been reviewed, executed, and formally approved by BSYC.
- Upon approval, finalized copies of all documents, along with the BSYC Rules and Regulations, will be provided electronically to the renter or the slip owner.
- The two parking passes issued to the slip owner must be transferred to the renter for the duration of the seasonal rental.
