This Privacy Policy describes how Bay Shore Yacht Club (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide on our website.

We collect personal information through two forms on our website:
1. Contact Us Form: When you fill out our Contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and the data you choose to enter in the Message field. We use this information to follow up with you.
2. Lessee Agreement Form: When you fill out our Lessee Agreement form, we collect your name, address, phone number, email address, and several details about your boat as well as an image upload of your Boat License. We do this to process your request to use BSYC’s facilities.
3. Boat Allowance Form: When you fill out our Boat Allowance Form, we collect your Name, Address, Phone and Email Address as well as self-reported details about your boat. We do this to approve or deny applications for slip usage.

Information Sharing
We do not share users’ personal information with third parties.

Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Your data is processed through our WordPress website, which is password protected and utilizes security measures provided by the “All In One WP Security” plugin. Additionally, emails containing your information are sent through ProtonMail, which uses end-to-end encryption to protect your data during transmission.

Access and Removal
Members are given login abilities which includes direct access to the profile information you provide on our website. Once logged in, Members may download their data or erase their data. Members and non-members can request the removal of your record by emailing us at info@BSYCMeredith.org.

Choice
You have the choice not to use our online forms and instead contact us directly via phone or email for assistance. You also have the choice to download and print paper versions of our forms.

Cookies and IP Address
Our website, built on WordPress, collects cookies as part of its default functionality. Please refer to WordPress’s privacy policy for more information on cookies. We do not collect additional IP addresses beyond what is collected by WordPress.

Children’s Privacy
We do not specifically cater to children on our website, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Our simple CAPTCHA math problem may screen some users, but it is not intended to specifically target children.
